What we are
Old School AI is operated by Michael Alshooler (Alshooler Consulting). We are the data controller for all personal data collected through this service. We are not affiliated with Anthropic.
What we collect
Account data
Name, email address, hashed password, username, and general location (city, country, region). Location is used to improve the service and is never shared or sold.
Questionnaire responses
Your answers across all questionnaire sections: voice characteristics, personal values, professional background, story, communication preferences, operating style, and writing samples. These responses are stored in our database and used to assemble your identity files.
Usage data
Export history (dates, skill IDs, package names), profile edit history (which sections changed and when), and server logs (IP address, request timestamps). Server logs are retained for no more than 30 days.
Payment data
Stripe handles all payment processing. We store your Stripe Customer ID and Subscription ID for billing purposes. We never see or store your full card number.
How we use your data
Your questionnaire responses are used for one purpose: assembling your downloadable Claude Skills package.
We do not pass your questionnaire data to any AI system. Assembly happens on our server: your responses slot into pre-built templates, we generate a ZIP file, you download it. Anthropic (the company behind Claude) never receives your questionnaire data from us. When you install your identity files in Claude and use them in conversations, that relationship is governed by your agreement with Anthropic, not by us.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it to train any AI model. We do not share it with third parties for marketing.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
For users in the EU and UK, we process your data on the following bases:
- Account data: Performance of a contract (providing the service you signed up for)
- Payment data: Performance of a contract (processing your subscription)
- Questionnaire responses (general): Performance of a contract (assembling your identity files — the core function of the service)
- Questionnaire responses (values and beliefs): Explicit consent, collected separately at the start of the questionnaire
- Server logs: Legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention)
Cookies
We use session cookies required for authentication (to keep you logged in). We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party tracking cookies. No cookie consent banner is required because we do not use non-essential cookies.
International data transfers
Our infrastructure providers are US-based companies. If you are located in the EU or UK, your data is transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on the providers' own compliance frameworks for these transfers.

Your rights
Access
You can request a copy of all data we hold about you.
Correction
Update your questionnaire responses at any time in your account. Update your name or email from account settings.
Deletion
Email hello@oldschoolai.co with "Delete my account" in the subject line. We will delete all your data within 7 days: profile, questionnaire responses, generated files, payment records, and account data. Nothing is archived after deletion.
Restriction
You can ask us to stop processing your data while a dispute is resolved.
Objection
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Portability
Your identity files are yours — download them any time from your dashboard.
Withdraw consent
If you provided explicit consent for values/beliefs data processing, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing hello@oldschoolai.co. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Supervisory authority
If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
All requests: hello@oldschoolai.co. We respond within 30 days.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 7 days. No exceptions.
